The Anatolian Filikli at a glance
When
I travelled to Turkey for the first time in 2001 with my family and bought my first rugs there in Antalya. For my 40th birthday, which was in 2004, I wished for a trip to Istanbul with my friends. Since then, I have travelled to this wonderful city time and again. And I still love being there. Since that time we kept going to Istanbul and – for the first time in 2022 – to Central Anatolia.
What happened?
We were completely blasted from the beauty of Tulu and Filikli Rugs. We did quite a lot of trips to Istanbul to search for some extraordinary rugs and founded the collective "The 4 Mehmetz" in these times.
